Yotel

The brief:

Two solutions were required; one was to develop both an online presence with one goal, to book rooms and the second, to create a bespoke self-service check in kiosk.

Our solution:

With a strong background in the hotel industry, reservation systems and self-service kiosks, WorksUnit have created an online and application brand identity that matches the ethos of all things ‘Yo’.

Via both online .Net website and Flash kiosk solutions the customer can manage bookings and check in with minimal or no interruptions form hotel staff. The process is simple, intuitive and of course visually as cool as the hotels.

The results:

One of the main objectives for Yotel as a new company was to reduce the number of staff required to manage and run the hotel. The self-service kiosk allows the majority of customers to simply check in and go to their room without the need of two or three staff members as you would find in a standard hotel.

Overview

Yotel, a concept created by Simon Woodroffe after seeing Japanese capsule hotels. Has quickly transformed into two luxury hotels at London’s Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
