Red Funnel Kiosk
Gone live in October 2009, WorksUnit have designed a self-service ticketing solution for Red Funnel Ferries Southampton to Isle of Wight foot passenger ferry service. Red Funnel wanted to further develop their Customer Services offering and, by enabling ticket purchase via self-service kiosks, passengers are experiencing the benefits of not only a convenient, easy to use, queue-buster for peak hours of traffic and major events (i.e. Festivals, Cowes Week, Events) but also extending the hours by which tickets can be purchased. At present the service is focused on the foot-passenger terminals but is planned to extend to the Vehicle Ro-Ro operation in 2010 to deliver further Customer Services and operating efficiencies.
