We decided that it was time for us to take a day off from the office and do a team-building exercise.
So on the beautiful cold crisp morning of 30th October we ventured to Dorset to spend the day swinging through the trees at the Go Ape high-wire forest adventure in Moors Valley Country Park.
Fitted with a climbing harness and given strict instructions on our safety, we set off trekking from tree to tree high above the forest floor. Whilst some of us entered the challenge with gritted teeth, others welcomed the challenge James Bond style.
The course was spilt into a number of sections, getting harder as the course when on. Our studio embraced the course by running across rope bridges with no hands and throwing themselves off zip slides like superheroes.
Whilst James managed to impress the safety guys immediately by forgetting the rule of having both caribenas attached at the same time.
We also discovered it’s harder than it seems to land gracefully off of the zip slides... Muddy arses all round and a hood full of soggy mud for Grace.
Thankfully we completed the course without any injuries or broken bones and all went for a well deserved pub meal and drink after being rewarded our Go Ape Certificates.
After a fantastic day all-round, we all felt reinvigorated and ready to get back and work harder than ever as part of the WorksUnit team. On the ground, in the warm!
